Is an AI provider key required to get started?
Yes — you bring your own key from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, or OpenRouter. If you prefer to keep everything on-device, Ollama lets you run open-weight models directly on your Akamai instance with no external calls.
What happens after I pick a plan?
We spin up a dedicated Akamai Connected Cloud instance, install OpenClaw, wire up your selected messaging channels, and grant you full root access. The whole process wraps up in roughly three minutes.
What hardware specs should my server have?
A baseline of 2 vCPU cores, 2 GB RAM, and 20 GB storage is sufficient for most workloads. If you plan to run local language models or serve high message traffic, stepping up to a larger instance is recommended.
How is a managed server defined?
One managed server equals one dedicated cloud instance with its own OpenClaw installation. Your subscription tier sets how many of these you can operate concurrently — each one runs independently with separate data and configuration.
Am I able to upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes, plan changes can be made at any time through your account dashboard. Upgrades apply instantly, and any pricing difference is prorated through the end of your current billing cycle.
Are there any long-term commitments?
None at all. Every plan renews on a monthly basis and you are free to cancel whenever you choose. After cancellation your servers stay active through the remainder of the period you already paid for.
How can I pay for my subscription?
Payments are handled through Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major cards. PayPal is supported as well. Every transaction is encrypted and PCI-compliant.
